‘360 DEGREE’ methodology

Type 2 diabetes is not one-size-fits all. From excess weight to unhealthy lifestyles, the condition arises from many different factors. To reveal what is triggering your diabetes, we are planning a new kind of diabetes reversal program that will measure your body’s response to sugar (glucose) while we also examine your DNA, lifestyle, diet and mental health. The result? A personal action plan for you to control your condition.

Data

We expect to track a wide range of indicators including your DNA, weight, blood sugars, activity habits, sleep and more.

Insights

You will get an online dashboard with daily updates and tips to help you lose weight and change your lifestyle.

Guidance

Our health coaches, diabetes doctors and an online community will stand ready to motivate you to succeed.

That is the idea behind ‘diabetyping’, our emerging approach for better diabetes care. In this blog, researchers Suzan Wopereis of TNO and José Castela Forte of Ancora Health elaborate on the possibilities.
